Welcome to my portfolios section. After all, it’s the images that this site is really all about…

I’ve been photographing the landscape and things around me for many years now so this site is only able to host a handful of the tens of thousands of images that I’ve taken.
My most popular work, and that is from both a personal and commercially lucrative perspective, are my London Panoramic pictures . Panoramic photography done properly is quite a skill to learn, it’s something I have been trying to perfect using different methods for the last 7 or 8 years.
I have been lucky enough to have my images accepted by a number of internationally recognised stock photo libraries. My images have also been printed up to huge sizes and adorn the walls of a number of business premises in the City of London .
I always aim to get my images right in camera, I guess it’s my upbringing from being a film user for so many years. That’s not to say that a little digital photoshop enhancement doesn’t help, it’s just that I much prefer to control the available light and get it right first time.
London is my favourite place to take my panoramic photography equipment. There is just something simple about the way in which the Panoramic London skyline is arranged which really suits the letterbox panoramic format.
I don’t just shoot panoramic pictures, in fact panoramic photography only makes up a small percentage of my work – it’s just what I enjoy doing the most and I always think it’s easier to try to be good at what you enjoy!
I find London such an enjoyable place to take pictures, it’s only on the greyest of overcast days that I find it difficult to make images that please me. London is a fascinating place to shoot even in the rain. The London urban cityscape can come alive with reflections in puddles and shiny pavements.
I’ve been running photography workshops in London for about 2 or 3 years. Earlier this year, together with my good friend and full time photography tutor, Kay Godard, we formed Inspired Light Images to make more photography workshops and courses available. My favourite courses are still our London low light photography courses . The London landmarks are amazing to photograph around dusk, just as all the artificial lights come on.
I am also hugely inspired by the beautiful landscape and countryside we have here in the UK. Over the last couple of years I have been exploring Norfolk and Suffolk . I have been looking to perfect my landscape photography in Southwold ; Southwold Pier and Southwold Beach Huts on Southwold beach being particularly great photographic subjects. Norfolk has a wide variety of great locations for landscape photography, the Norfolk Broads with the mills, boats and reeds. Pictures of Cromer Pier at sunset also work well and there are other locations around the Norfolk coast , such as Happisburgh and Hunstanton.
Autumn is a very busy time for landscape photography. Since 2007 I have been working to get to know areas of the Lake District and I’ve been up to the Lakes for multiple trips to ensure I get to photograph the best of the light and the autumn colours.
This year I have shifted my focus a little as I’m keen to get to know and photograph the Peak District as it’s that little bit closer to home.
